In 6: THE SQUARE, choreographer Nicole Beutler zooms in on the heartfelt need of humans to create order in a constantly changing world. Marking off, defining limits, drawing boundaries, thinking boxes. The square offers stability and regularity, it offers a framework and also locks things out. It is, first and always, a temporary construction. In this second part of her BAUHAUS trilogy on the basic principles of circle, square and triangle, Nicole Beutler focuses on the fluent interaction between the abstract and
the organic.
