The ice is melting, the climate is changing, established power relations are beginning to shift. A great deal of uncertainty lies ahead of us. 8: METAMORPHOSIS is a dance performance and a contemporary opera about embracing the upcoming changes. Will it be gradual or with painful shocks? After her impressive Bauhau trilogy, director and choreographer Nicole Beutler returns to the big stage with a new, imaginative Gesamtkunstwerk.

Eight men - dancers, singers and a drummer - will drag you into a conjuring ritual. Inspired by Henri Purcell's The Cold Song and the mathematical transitions in the illusive art of M.C. Escher, familiar patterns are transformed into surprising new possibilities.
8: METAMORPHOSIS invites you into the twilight zone: a hopeful and threatening intermediate area. Is destruction necessary before we learn to live together in a new way?
